Well, I'm on the last legs of the trip there!
That plane ride wasn't that bad; minimal bumps.
I watched a few films (Clash of the Titans, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and some Chinese film), had some of the best food I've ever had (Asiana Air is amazing! Steak and Potatoes w/ Lox for Dinner, and then Chicken Pasta in Pumpkin Sauce for Breakfast), was given free Wine (Red) and Scotch on the plane, and drank my body weight worth of water and ginger ale.
I read about 200pgs of a book, getting 2/3rds through it.
I sat between both Linfield Students, and it was surprisingly comfy.
Just so others know, Incheon International Airport is beautiful. Everything is super great. Hard wood floors, minimal security (Don't have to remove your shoes), and really nice bathrooms (Recall Austin Powers when he was defrozen? That was me...I feel so much better now).
Well, it's 3:09AM in the USA now, but its actually 7:09PM here. Still not tired though, a 30min power-nap solved that.
Here I come HONG KONG!

$22,000 Cigarette
2 Posts in 1 day!?!
I thought many of you would appreciate this quick gab:
Our flight from Portland to Seattle was delayed slightly for a super-rare/interesting reason. Everyone should be familiar that you can't smoke on a plane...right? Well apparently the person on the previous flight (we went on that plane) decided that he needed a cigarette so badly that he went into a the airplanes lavatory (for a 45min flight), disabled the smoking detector, and THEN light up a cigarette! He was confronted about this, had to put out the cigarette, and had to deal later with security. After fines that 1 Cigarette cost him roughly $22,000! Also he faces a permanent ban from flight. RIDICULOUS!
Its 1:04PM on the same Monday the 23 of August. Waiting in Seattle/Tacoma airport. Duty Free items were super overpriced, and nothing of interest: I don't need liquor, tobacco or cologne that badly. Sitting in gate S15 to Korea now, its really funny to look at how almost every male ages 4-24 has a Game Boy DS.
Can't wait now! Here I come Hong Kong.

First Post: PDX
Hey there everyone reading this!
Currently I am in PDX, its 9:43AM on Monday, August 23rd.
It totally hasn't hit me yet that I'm going to Hong Kong yet either...
Sitting right next to Gabe Cruz and Michele Wong, fellow Linfield students studying at HKBU with me.
Fortunately I have lots of books for my flight to Korea, since the flight over will be murderous.
Current plans for Hong Kong involve lots of travel, going to the parks, trying new drinks at the bars, eating lots of new food, and not getting busted and/or deported... I also plan to leave Hong Kong and visit Mainland China, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam while abroad.
Thanks everyone for your encouragement and tips while abroad, this will be a blast.
Can't wait for this! I can fulfill this years goal: Eat as Much Sticky Rice as Possible!
